Concern?

I was away last week. Monday on medical leave. Tuesday and Wed for training and Thursday Friday for business trip. When I returned back to office, I didnt see my boss straight away on Monday since I wanted to settle and clear my desk. My In Tray was already full by then. Later that day, he sent an email to me which I only read it on Tuesday morning. It reads as below:

SD,

For last few weeks, I am getting bit concerned on the Utilities and Facilities - in terms of safety compliance and the sense of urgency to solve the issue. It was never seen earlier in last few years.

I think we have gone bit complacent in near past and have to step back and really focus on the details as things will go out of control if not pulled in right direction.

I hope you will pass this message to your team and with more of yours and Asmidi's Kaizen - things will be back to track as in good old days.

So
a) more of meeting with your team
b) Kaizen of your areas
c) look into bit micro all activities in your areas

these 3 things will bring the stuff back to track

Wonder what makes him feel that way...? Its because we always have discussion, almost everyday in his room. So basically he needs to see my face everyday and see my mail everyday for he used to call me Iron Lady. Sigh, high expectation.
